Hazbin Hotel's Creator Is Aware of Your Season 2 Bingo Cards — And She Has Good News

The much-anticipated second season of the musical adult cartoon Hazbin Hotel arrives on the streaming platform this week, and audience theories has been intense.

The first season introduces a large cast of characters living within Hell and Heaven, pits them against each other with songs detailing their conflicts, and establishes tense rivalries and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 differ greatly, but certain themes emerge over and over: Will a fan-favorite character break free from Valentino? Might we learn more about the binding agreement affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Will [favorite character] and [other character] finally get together?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the creator stated earlier this year. "However I believe that me being a fan of my own show implies there's a lot of it just inherently. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

She reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Future installments have already been green-lit by the production companies, which produce the series.

That might mean fans have to wait years for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how quickly season 2 progresses, and how much of what they're waiting for happens this season.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we get some really amazing disclosures, some really cool backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear much more singing from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

She's certainly aware of the theories and desires about the upcoming season — especially in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a couple people create a bingo card about season 2," she mentions. "Obviously I can't post it, but I've already completed a few items, and nearly every one of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that makes me think we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that makes me happy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on the streaming service on Oct. 29.
